Stars cover “This Charming Man”

I’m such a sucker for that riff. Love the looped sample, too.

Gorillaz Strip Down for BBC And Cover The XX

Gorillaz recently played an intimate live set for BBC1 Radio’s Live Lounge, where they did stripped down version of “On Melancholy Hill” and “Doncamatic”, as well as this excellent cover of The xx’s “Crystalised.” I’m kind of obsessed with this cover, as it’s one of my favorite people in the world singing one of my favorite songs from last year. Also, is it me or does guest vocalist Daley look like a Thompson Twin circa 1984?

More Music for Commercials

The blog “Music For Kids Who Can’t Read Good” has a collection of commercials featuring music from Morning Benders (see above), Joanna Newsom and Los Campesinos, among others. We at Drawer B are still in shock from the Gang of Four Xbox ad.
